86 Carerra Tire Pressure

I know that tire pressure is a personal preference and is dependent upon many things (type of tire, temperature, track vs. street, etc.) but wanted to see if anyone has any experience with and preferences for air pressures for 205/50-17 front and 255/40-17 rear on BBS LM wheels (17x7.5 front, 17x9 rear). My car is a 1986 Carrera. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Subcover, I got 255/40/17 Yoko's SDrives on mine and the tire shop put 33 pounds in them after mounting and balancing the Euromeisters.

I just had my 16" fuchs rebuilt into 17's and I've been wondering the same thing. Gary @ Stratton Motorsports built them and he recommended 34psi fronts and 38psi rears (cold pressure) but I haven't had much time to drive around and see how they feel or experiment with different pressure because I really just got the wheels. I'm running 215/45 on 17x7's in front and 255/40 on 17x9.5's in rear.

i don't have 17s but after i had my car corner balanced and new tread put on, the guy at truline recommended 34/40 as the pressures. he said that's the best for long life of the tires.

I have followed the tire pressures in my owner's manual for my 79 SC. They are also on a sticker under the engine lid.
