911 oil plug torque
In that my 1978 gets only pleasure use, it goes a long time between changes. I wanted to start using measured torque for the plugs and I found a reference the said 51 foot pounds. I should have recognized that that number was awfully tight. I now see numbers more in the low 30 foot pound range.
Now what do I do? Should I loosen the plugs and re-torque them or leave them until the next change? Tom |

I would loosen and retorque... If the torque value is in fact lower, you will only feel better about knowing that it is right and nothing can really happen... some oil might seep out but that's it...
