Dans the man
After fighting with the front targa seal after redoing my roof I bit the bullet and bought a new one from Dan at carsinc. Well let me tell you it's the best money I have spent in a long time on the P car. What a difference the roof now sits lower, seals properly and best of all has reduced road noise by at least 50%. This is an unadulterated plug for Dan and his targa seals. I now know the one on my car was the wrong one all along.

Installed one of Dan's seals on my Targa. It's the trick. Thanks Dan. Got some other Targa bits and pieces from him. Good to work with.

Targa Top.
Assuming that the seals are in good condition,
and seated properly, here's what I did. Huge improvement, no rattles, no squeaks! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365013179.jpg ^^^^^ Replaced these http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365013212.jpg ^^^^^ And these http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365013247.jpg ^^^^^ Adjusted these http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365013308.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365013377.jpg ^^^^^ A light application of this eliminated all sqweaks. Installed mine last week, it's a work of art.

I had Dan do the full restoration on my top and I put the new seal in last year- world of difference. I highly recommend his work and seal.

Great stuff.... My top is at Dan's now waiting to be installed when I drive there on Saturday.

Another thumbs up for Dan. He re-did my top about 14 years ago - and it's still doing fantastic!
Great guy to deal with as well. :D |
