I apologize if I came across impatient or not willing to get my hands dirty... I am just extremely busy these days, so the limited time I have to work on the car I try to have a very concrete plan set out so I can be more efficient of my time.
I will start to go down the list this afternoon and test the items you have listed and that have been mentioned from others. I am just dumb founded on why it would just have hot start issues then now it won't start regardless. I will update this tread when I have discovered something.. good or bad. |
Got the car running a few mins ago... I am positive I have a fuel issue now. I pulled all the injectors, bottled them and when I just turn the key to 'on' (not start) they dribble some fuel right when you turn the key to the 'second click'. I pulled the fuel pump relay and they stopped.
Question: Are the injectors supposed to be leaking fuel when the key is just turned to on? Like I said they only squirt out a little right when the key hits the second position. I then turned the car over and after a few tries it fired and then sputtered out after about five seconds, then I re installed the injectors and the relay and tried it again. The car fired up like it should and idled fine... after letting it sit for a few minuets I took it for a spin around my block and it drove like it should. I am going to wait about half an hour then try and start it. If it doesn't start that is another strike for the FA. I will pull it tomorrow to make absolute sure... (cant I just unscrew the bottom 'outlet' and if gas comes out I have a problem?) My CIS tester should be here by friday so that should also help to shed some light to the problem. Thank you everyone, I know that I can seem to be a tad 'pesterish' at times but I just want my baby to run the way she is supposed to. EDIT: Oh heres a picture to make this thread a tad easier to look at. http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps836d819d.jpg |

How did you adjust the A/F ratio? How do you know it's right? I may sound like a pompous jerk (Wait - I am am a pompous jerk :D) but I bet you don't have a clue how to do this with respect to a functioning O2 system. Chill out, get your pressure testing equipment, read a boatload e.g., CIS Primer and do some homework. Charles Probst's book is good too. Google it. You have the interest and enthusiasm which is mandatory. Get yourself some patience and determination - logical determination. CIS is complex for the noob. But twelve hours of diligent study will go a long, long way to helping you understand the basics.
