Paint color question
 

Hi: what were the white paint options for 1979? I recently bought an SC who's former owner told me was arctic white(?) but my Gran Prix white '82 targa looks oftly similar. I need some touch up and wanted to order the right thing. If someone could tell me the "refrigerator" white paint code options for the SC years it would help. Thanks.

Look at the paint code tag on the door hing pillar on the driver's door. It will probably be something like 908-9-3, in which case the 908 part would indicate grand prix white.

It's not there, it was repainted

If it's been repainted, then yank the gas filler door off and have it matched. You have no guarantee that they used the correct formula when they repainted it.

if it was repainted, it may not even be a porsche color. Arctic white could be anything.

It was originally Grand Prix as I found the door jamb tag in the glovebox..
