What size screws for the autoheat enclosure?

I'm buttoning up the last few things on my interior job. I have looked all over for the 4 screws that fasten the autoheat enclosure to the center tunnel. Anybody know what size they are off hand?
Nothing in my junk box seems to be the correct size.

Nevermind. I found them. The little baggie they were in was stuck to another one. It's late, I'm tired and I've gone cross-eyed..

Well, sorta. I might have fixed it. It used to have two settings: off and scald your toes.

When I took out the glass and the headliner it appeared as though the connection to the thermistor in the rubber nipple thingy above the mirror came disconnected. If I understand it correctly, this makes the system run in an open loop regardless of what number the dial is turned to. I tested the resistance of the thermistor before I put it back in and it was in spec.

I got everything hooked back up the other night but it was late and I haven't had a chance to get back and really test out the heat since. Part of my problem is that I really don't know how it's supposed to work. Let's say it's a really cold day and I set it to 5. Will the heat run at a certain temp (exchanger vent shut so no outside air) and then gradually open the dampers to maintain a certain cabin temp?

The control seems to move the servo motor properly. I'll report back on whether I really fixed it or not.

heater

I was reading you post and have a question.

My SC has the same set up but I am missing what ever holds the little rubber nipple in place mine just hangs there but there are two screws next to it.

Could you post a photo of yours so I know what to look for at the swap meet.

Thanks

landrover88..

Its called the auto heat rosette for the sensor...

It is the small, rectangular, plastic piece with a central hole flanked by 2 screw holes. It is mounted up between the sun visors & helps to hold the sensor for "climate control" device in place. Part number is 911 571 235 01. It is NLA so here I am..... I have been looking for one as well....
