Rear tow hook bracket for through bumper studs?

I tried searching for this and couldn't really find exactly what I was looking for. Not sure it exists.

I'm in the process of deleting the fat US bumperettes. At first, my plan was to leave the rubber strip on each side, but the more I look at it, the more I want to get rid of it all and make it clean.

Bumper is going to have to be re-painted anyway, so might as well fill the holes.

In order to do this, I'll have to do something about the way the bumper mounts to the shocks/crush tubes. I've seen a couple of different ways to do that.

But then I thought why not leave the studs coming through the bumper and just mount a tow hook plate there on each side? Simple and functional.

I found the Rennline solution that replaces the bumper shock but it's not quite the simple solution I'm looking for. And it's a little spendy.

I'm just looking for a plate that would mount on the outside of the bumper with a folding tow hook. Does anyone make such a thing?

I could cut off the shock studs, drill it out and put longer bolts through if necessary.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Have you tried Amazon? Or perhaps Summit Racing.

What about a eye lift? They are used for lifting heavy junk. Give me a minute and I will post a photo.

Ya.

On Amazon I saw one that I thought would work. Then I realized it was a decoration! Who knew decorative tow hooks was a thing?

Are you talking about U-bolts?

My first search for "eye lift" was definitely NOT what I was looking for!

I think we cross-posted.

I thought maybe you meant something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/MxEol-Boat-Stern-Marine-Stainless/dp/B0771MQ7TG/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=eye+lift+bracket&qid=1584981288&sr=8-12

That could work. Maybe powder coat it. I'll measure the distance between the studs and see if I could find something along those lines that would work.

I was hoping to find something where the ring would pivot down to save my shins.
