The other night it got somewhat chilly for the first time, so I decided to put some heat into the car. I just put SSI's on the car with a new exhaust but no other mods. When I raised up on the two levers for heat, I got a strange "whiney" noise coming from the engine area. So while driving I did some messing with the levers only to find out that the right lever was the only one causing any strange noise to be heard when raised up. While sitting at a light and raising up on the right lever, the car wanted to die and my lights dimmed heavily. This happened also even when doing about 55mph. I do not have my blower hooked up yet, could this be causing these things to happen?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks, Chris 76 911S |

Sounds like you've got a short somewhere. Headlights dimming and whining noise could be an overloaded alternator/regulator.
The aux blower is on a relay in the engine compartment. Try pulling the relay. ------------------ Bill Krause '79 911SC Euro MY PELICAN GALLERY |
