Chip

I am aware I have a chip in the 993. I hear some of you guys talk about upgrades. If I were to change mine, what kind of performace changes could I expect? Is there a down side?

First the '96 ECU does not have a removable chip. There are options but it requires getting a '97-'98 ECU. In my opinion not a good place to spend your bucks. The 993 engine is already highly optimized from Porsche and there is not much you can do to increase the performance and stay in a reasonable budget. If I were you I'd leave the engine alone and spend money upgrading the suspension.

Agreed! I have done some reasearch. Thanks John. This winter I am planning on some suspension work. I am in the process of making a new friend across the street who has a barn with a nice lift in it. I just need to find out his favorite beverage and maybe the car can go in for a few weeks in January.
