Seat Question

Have a question concerning seats. Have a `86 Carrera coupe that I recently installed a racing roll bar. I`m running the stock seats but they take away some room, especially the passenger. I have heard that late 89 up to the 98 will work and have a shorter bottom pad that would allow more adjustability, mine are 6 way adjustable. True? Would like to sell my seats (recently recovered) or trade for a black set of newer seats. May even consider an aftermaket set of seats.

power seats are taller than manual seats as they need the room underneath. there is quite a noticeable difference in height between my 74-80 manual sport seats and my 993 power seats.
