V8 conversion wiring

I am not trying to start any more arguements. The original conversion was a stolen and stripped '88. It has since been wrecked by a kid who "did not see" the stop signs at the intersection. Well, now I have found a ratted out 87 with a bad engine, tranny, interior, etc. This will be a worthy recipient of the parts from my original conversion.
Problem: I bought a new Buick alternator as suggested by Renegade and am having trouble figuring out how it connects to the harness. The diagram has three red lines marked Alternator and one grey line marked Alt Plug. The harness has a double red wire (I see where it goes) and a heavy black wire (OK there too) anlong with 2 other wires, besides the one marked Alt Plug. The plug from the alternator has 4 wires - a heavy red and 3 others, as well as the + terminal and the Neg terminal. My math says I have a mis-match on the others.

Can anyone assist me in what goes where?

I used an alternator from an 87 Chevy Camaro (per Renegade's advice a few years ago), but it should be similar setup. Since you are using the wiring harness from Renegade, have you called them and asked? Their wiring diagram doesn't show you WHERE each connector goes on the alternator [they just show you three alternator wires and one alternator plug], but Scott at Renegade should be able to help you sort this out.
