CIS Auxiliary Air Regulator

Going through the CIS on a euro 83 SC and the auxiliary air regulator has failed and was deemed unrepairable by Flowtech.

With the 93010 motor, I show it being 911-606-102-10 superseding to 911-606-102-IX or Bosch 0280140226

BOTH of which are discontinued.

Does anybody know if we could use another part number or what the differences are?

About the only difference I can think of is the rate at which the valve closes as the current heats up the internal bimetallic strip. The only thing it would affect is running during warm up. Once it's fully closed, it doesn't make any difference. I would just substitute a known good one, regardless of part number, if it physically fits. Measure the internal resistance and try to get close to that.

Merk- are you talking about the AAR or the AAV? The AAV is round and saucer shaped with no electrical connection. The AAR has an electrical connection and a totally different shape.

Gretz, thanks for catching that. I'll wait for Merk's response.

0-280-140-226 is an AUXILIARY AIR REGULATOR.

There is a TSB regarding the change.

That's great info. Thanks for the TSB. I'm still wondering what the difference is between the US and Euro parts.
