I did it and did not bend the wiper arm. After seeing the completed installation I do not understand why they need to be bent. I'm sure Tom, the author of the article, had his reasons. For me it was unnecessary. But if you find it necessary, as i recall it only one arm needs to be bent.
Now you will be able to confuse the parking attendant when they try and put a parking ticket under the wiper.

I know I am slow, but it has never been clear to me why anyone would want to move their wipers...

Thumbs up

Clearer vision out the windshield. The wipers "park on the passenger side.

Isn't the logic behind the wiper placement in front of the driver to immediately clear the windshield of rain when the driver hits the lever? Of course, if you don't drive in the rain ....

Yes I've often wanted to move my wipers, so I can get a better view of my hood. Instead I opted to rotate my headlights.

The only reason to move your wiper blades is the same reason a dog licks his testicles.

The reason the wipers rest on the driver's side is that when there's a small amount of water, like when you wash the windshield, the water will not run across your field of view as you drive, but guided to the side by the resting wipers.
I tried the other side, it drove me nuts...

I was surprised at the difference switching the sides the wipers blades park provided. It's not a night and day difference but there is an improvement. Perhaps its just that I enjoy seeing a clear line down my front fender.
As for rain I live in So Cal. What rain?

I have done this. You do need to bend the wiper arm the other way. If you don't when the wiper parks the blade will be pointed up instead of laying nicely along the bottom of the windshield.

When I did this I took the wiper arms of and swap them. The one on the left goes on the right post and the right one goes on the left post. When they are parked now, the wiper on the left post is in the parked position. It is the straight arm and this is correct. The arm on the right post now has a bend in it that points up the windshield. I then took the arm off and measured the current bend. Then carefully bent the arm past straight to the same angle the other way. I then repainted the arms and put them back on.

Hope this is not to confusing.

I did this too, however after following the Pelican directions to a point, put everything from the fresh air stuff back together and looked closer. There is a faster way to do this, I thought.

Do it from inside the car, it is mush easier to get at the linkage from through the guage holes then to take half of the car apart to get to it.

As for the difference, it's nice to see more of the car than the wipers, but I find I need to wipe more due to run away (drops moving back up the winshield). It's merely a choice of asthetics. My vote says it looks better from the driver's seat. By the way, take a look at some other high end sports cars on the road today and yesterday....wipers parked on the passenger side.
