Flywheel for 3.0 to 70-71b 901 trans?

I'm dropping a 3.0 into my '66 and want to use the '70 "pull clutch" 901 box that's in the car for the time being. It's my understanding that I'll need a flywheel to mate the 901 clutch to the 3.0 but I have no idea where to buy one. I realize I'd be better off with a 915 and in fact I have a late model 915 with electronic speedo that will go into the car over the winter. For now I have 3 901's and 2 clutches and I've got enough on my hands hooking up the CIS and oil lines for the 3.0 so I want to wait until the snow falls to put the 915 in it. Part of the problem is that the early CV joints won't match up to the 915 and because it's a short wheel base car I can't change the banana arms to late style bearing arms for late style 915 CVs (have those too LOL)

It sounds like you don't have a problem ... the stock SC 'flat' flywheel uses the same size and style clutch as the 2.2 engines did for the Type '911' transaxle in '70 and '71.

I couldn't get that lucky LOL, I'm taking it apart this week so I guess I'll find out for sure. I did note that at least the throw-out bearing is different. My '70 has two tabs that are rotated into place once the transmission is installed. If the 901 clutch bolts up I'll be jumping for joy! As I'm in a situation where I need to sell the existing 2.0E motor in order to accomplish a few other goals this summer. Once winter is here I can address hooking up the 915 properly. My winter truck is in dire need of having it's front end redone after I broke the front suspension so I'll be borrowing a car while I complete this conversion, then sell the 2.0 to rebuild the trucks front end and get it painted before the snow flys. Busy little beaver here in Ohio LOL
