Hi......a few inches to the left of the rear number plate is a round, black, rubber/plastic "lug" a little larger than a quarter.....
....mine mysteriously went missing yesterday leaving a threaded hole in my rear bumper...... and so I would like to know a) what the part is called and b) what its for !? Any ideas ?

Ivan, I believe what you're looking at is the rubber strip mounting screw to secure it to the bumper. They are easy enough to find and you may even locate one at your hardware store. That's what I did. Michigan.

Hello
You miss the rubberplug wich is covering the tow hook hole from the 1974-1985 cars. This hole is under the driving light bulb in the rubberprotector. Now as you say you have a threaded hole then the hole is beside the licence plate and covered by a plastic plug sometimes paintet to match. Those where used 1986-1989 Grüsse |
