Interior question(s)

Well, now that I have the engine detailed, the transmission is fixed (thanks CMS) my focus is going to change to the interior.

I need to have the seats done and have an idea of who to have them done by. My question is, does anyone know what color (primarily tan, cork etc...) of interiors came in the 1988 Targa's?

Mine is black right now and while that is an option, I have been thinking about changing it. The car is red. Black is just a pain and I am moving back to FL pretty soon, so a lighter color would be nice. It will include all new carpet and panels in leather.

Also if anyone has pictures of 88's with the above mentioned color(s) of interior they could post, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

for me black or white (linen) with a red car would be only colors I'd consider.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have black already, and I would never consider white (linen). I actually like the color, but for an interior that is used it would be a pain.

I don't have any photos but other than a black interior with a red exterior there is tan. I prefer black myself. Not sure why you think it is so hard to take care of. I do understand the heat element with a black interior though.

I would keep the black!

I like a nice black interior. It looks great with red. My MR2 is red with black leather, my Jeep... Red with black interior. Funny thing is I am not crazy about red, especially single stage which the MR2 and P-car are.

Black interior is not that hard to take care of. I think anything other than black would be harder. For me it is the heat business. FL is hot to begin with, black can get scorching (hence the pain, pain as a literal)... That is the only reason for the thought of changing it.

In all actuality, keeping the black would be easier (less to change/have redone etc...) and much cheaper.
