SWB question
 

Does the lever for the inside door handle point up or down. I don't have my handles nearby to test fitment. Haynes has them pointing up...I just need to confirm. Anybody have the door panels off that can help me confirm?

Up. The little thumb-pusher pushes the rod backwards to open the door.

Not to hijack, but any idea how to get this mechanism to work with an RS style door pull? That's what I need to do as I don't have the original pieces. I am thinking I may need to find the later mechanism for the internals. Thoughts?
