Engine fan detail

Rebuilding my alternator. What should I do with my fan & housing to make it look better?

Previous owner painted the fan red and housing black. Pulley and housing strap are silver. Paint has chipped off the fan.

Since the PO already changed the appearance, I don't know what "original" looks like.

Would like to know what it would have looked like new, and what ideas people have for improvement...
