Question Searching for "Door filler plugs"

Finding it impossible to get a "Porsche" rep on the phone at Pelican Parts the last few days.

Looking for the PN for door filler plugs (about the size of a nickel or 1 euro coin) that go around the perimeter of the doors on early 911's. Two of these fill the holes behind the mirror on the drivers side door along with about five other locations.

Also wondering if the Dansk 901 transmission shift knob replica (901-424-014-00-M350) requires a "crush sleeve" and if so what the correct PN for that item would be.

Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

jon

The part nr. for the plug 99970311940.

I usually go the competitor website that is located in Atlanta. They use the parts diagrams. So much easier to use than the piece of sh@t search at Pelican. At some point Pelican must have pissed of Porsche that they won't allow them to use the diagrams.

With the part nr. I than come back here to find out it is usually cheaper to buy from PP

Thank you!

tijnes,

Thanks for the response!

I'm afraid I have to agree with you in regards to the website. To be quite honest I think "customer service" as a whole is suffering greatly at Pelican.

First time I've ever made three attempts to get through to someone there via telephone only to be passed around by three different live individuals to end up in somebody's voicemail.

I guess that's why "FIVE OPEN POSITIONS" is boldly placed at the top of the forum.

I use the downloaded factory parts diagrams on PDF to look up the part numbers, then order online here with that. Works great.

Download the parts PDF for your car at:

So, I bought the dansk 901 shift pattern shifter but the Crush Ring became useless when I had to pull the shifter off to replace a bushing. Where can I get just the crush ring?
