Matched Brake Pad Availability?
It seems very difficult to find matched brake pads for my '88. I was all set to get the Mintex fronts and Textar rears (i.e., what was available from Pelican) but then I saw the thread on mismatched pads and got cold feet. Is it really as terrible as that thread made it out to be to mix and match pads? If so, is there any matched set available other than Textar for $100 a set?
Other than Pelican, no other online retailer seems to have their s___ together so that you can actually find parts you want. Plus, I would much prefer to spend $60/set (Mintex) than $100/pair (Textar). But if I have to go Textar, I will. I just want to hear some opinions first. Any help out there? I'm not trying to start a brand war conversation, any reasonably priced matched pair (or advice that matching is overrated) will do. Thanks in advance!

If you think you can live without brake pad sensors, pads from an SC work just fine, and are cheaper.
I supposed it's worth noting that the Mintex SC pads have a weird bevel on the leading and trailing edges, while the Mintex Carrera pads are flat. It doesn't seem to affect performance, though.
