Dead door locks...

How easy is it to repair door locks? They didn't work great before, but they did work until Marcesq and I R&R'ed the center console to test my a/c blower switch. The little red lock lamp lights up, and it makes that clicking noise. But the locks do nothing. I can't even lock the driver's door with the key from the outside, though I can unlock it. It's quite a pain now to have to reach in from the passenger side to lock the driver's side once it's closed, then lock the passenger side, then close the door. I don't want to pull this all apart again until I know how to fix it. Help?

Can you lock both doors from the inside?
Can you hear the "servos" working when you try to lock from the outside?
