Oil Film on wheel and fender

88 911 Carrera 55k original miles
I am getting a fine oily film on my right rear wheel and right rear fender
after a few hundred miles?
This is a very fine film, almost feels like dust but has an oily residue.
Street use only, no high revs.
No hard braking.
Common ?
Diagnosis?
Experienced opinion welcome.

could be anything in the cooling system all on that side. check all the fittings at the thermostat and the cooler and the lines for any signs of oil . maybe a pinhole somewhere. doesnt sound like a big issue. if your exhaust is on that side it could even been residue blown back from the tailpipe

Had the same problem on one of my cars the connections on the oil line in the upper fender was bad
