Angry Starting Problems - Any Ideas?

Anybody got any ideas regarding what to else to check on trying to start a 1974 911 S?

The engine has'nt been running for 6 years. So far I have changed oil, changed plugs, turned over on starter (no problems), checked fuel supply, statically set the timing. Replaced the points and set the gap.

When you try and start it fires for a few seconds and then dies. Repeated starting seems just to chuck fuel out the back. (flooding I guess)

Best I've had so far is about 5 mins until I switched it off. Not sure what to check next. I've checked for spark (ok), checked hand throtte is activating microswitch on throttle, and even changed the CDS unit.

Any obvious idea's i'm missing - I'm getting close but not enough for it to keep going etc. I've also gone through the trouble shooting guides on the web site.

thanks

Ben.
