How to disassemble brake pedal part ?

Before I break something.
How do you disassemble the aluminum part of the rod that pushes the cylinder in the master cylinder ?
It has a recess for a wrench and a hole, is this a threaded part ?
This part is from a 356, I know this is a 911 forum but has much more traffic and perhaps somebody can help.
Thanks

Hi There,

Is that a set screw in there? Try cleaning it up a bit so you can see things a little better. Also, maybe try posting on Samba's 356 forum. Bruce over there will know.

What year is that off of? A,B,C?

Franny

It is not a set screw, it has a pin.

Do you have the shop manuals or the Elfrink manual?

I don't think it comes off... That flat spot is to allow you to turn the shaft relative to the connector on the other end.

Why do you want to remove it?
