Hose ID and Connection Question
|
Vacuum line.
It doesn't go anywhere, because the 1980 version doesn't HAVE a vacuum line there! Someone swapped a different WUR into your car at some point. I don't know enough to know whether it's an earlier or a later one. For now, try to connect that to vacuum somewhere. |
No wonder ……….
I was looking through my Bentley and Wayne's books and could not figure it out.
I found it just laying in the engine bay tangled with some other hoses. Car runs fine but I am trying to replace dried out hoses and eliminate anything I might not need. Do I need a WUR ? I do not drive the car in the winter. April thru October I would like to delete the fresh air fan and get the engine compartment cleaned up. What else can I ditch ? I am keeping the AC because it actually works. Not that I use it much. I prefer to go topless. Thanks for throwing an eyeball on the mystery. |
WUR vent….
I have done some extensive reading and it appears it is a vent and does not have to be connected to anything. Supposed to keep out debris from the port.
That is peculiar. Since I do not drive the car in the cold can the WUR be eliminated ? It is not working. I have to warm up the car before it will idle but i am ok with that I just start out driving easy and in 5 minutes it idles perfectly. I want to delete all non essential components. I started by removing the CAT and stock muffler and the car runs much better for it. O2 sensor has also been removed. |
