Clutch pedal issues

Posted already but since its the weekend I thought I would seek a few more opinions.
1988 CAB taken out of the garage from the winter and driven a week when the clutch pedal after shifting would intermittently not return to the top position.

I had to take my foot and come from the back and pull it up to wards the driver about 2 inches. Cable? Spring? something else?

Would appreciate the groups thoughts on where to start looking to fix this issue

Is it more likely to occur when the weather is cold, or right when you start driving, and then does not occur when things get warmed up?

If so, then its not a cable or spring - here is a similar thread: '87 Carrera Clutch Pedal Sticking

bleeding the slave cylinder would be the first thing that I would do....but it's a real PITA because of accessability issues. Small hands, skinny arms and a lot of patience will go a long way with this job.
