Check this out (Ta Da part 2)
Got the shroud back today ... just waiting on new shims to install. I am very happy with the way it turned out- hopefully with a bit of Never-Dull every so often I can keep it looking decent. My buddy said it was all ego....(he meant that cleaning the interior bits was nuts- I don't think so. Just maintaining and improving)

WOW! I mean, ah, WOW!
|
I'm as impressed with the pro-looking background and lighting as I am with the fan. You are clearly an over-acheiver. Very nice.
|
That looks fantastic! You're obviously fanatical about these tihngs. You should have a fan club going in no time! It's a bit fancy for my taste, but I tend to be on the utilitarian side.
Ok, I'm going to go sip a fanta and relax, rather than sit here and fan the flames... |
I LIKE IT... I LIKE AHHHLOTTT... :D
Very nice dude.. you are the "FAN MAN" ;) Jorge (Targa Dude) |
|
That looks really cool. Its gonna shine in that engine compartment. Pleas keep us updated on how it keeps its cool, and post us a pic when mounted.
|
Yeah, I'm with Chuck (this is twice in one day - I'm in danger of becoming "Me Too Cam").
I can't decide if I am more impressed with the finish on the fan or the photography :D Send the first one to Wayne for his book... |
Sean - jeezus, that thing looks like a work of art and it should be on display in some auto museum.
Nice job! |
NIce! Mine looked just like that for a couple hundred miles. Now the fan looks dull, but much better than it did before though. Did you do anything to protect the fan - clear paint? I polished the strap and placed a black PORSCHE decal across it. Looking good! I may have one left if interested? If I could just find a way to keep it so shiney?
|
Installed the fan last night.... scratched the #@!*#?! fan shroud when putting it in- oh well. I am glad I decided to go black/ polished. To me it looks like a clean almost stock look-

That looks fantastic! Did you powder coat or paint the shroud?
I did the same thing when I removed my fan, black powder coat and a polished fan. I really like the results. |
Thanks, it was Powdercoated.
|
That is indeed very impressive. Can I use this picture in the new book?
-Wayne |
Can you? Heck yes!!!! If you need a higher res photo I can do that as well!

Hey- your supposed to be on vacation! |
Great job and very shiney!!
Everytime I see pictures of "spotless" engines, I know we have to get our B*tts in gear and clean-up the look of ours. |
That's perrrrty.
|
VERY VERY nice Sean!! Mt lift may be here late this week or early next. ended up going with Reliable Hydraulics after all. You need to deal with Charles!
|
How much for this new fan polishing / powdercoating service? Hint: buy an extra one or two prepare them just like this and offer them up with a core.
It looks awesome! |
