87 911 Carerra Firing Order
Promise guys, I have done 3 hours of searching and reading back threads on this only to come up more confused.
1. On my 87 carerra, 3.2 liter engine, does my rotator turn clockwise or counterclockwise. The previous posts on the subject give differing accounts. 2. My main question is what is the firing order for my car. How should the spark plug wires be aligned on the distributor cap. Everything I read on this dealt with 1974-77 cars Sorry, I got tired of all the background reading I was doing on this and figured I would just come out and ask the questions |

1 - 6 - 2 - 4 - 3 - 5 Clockwise. Standing behind the car looking into the engine bay. Left side is 1-2-3 back to front. Right side is 4-5-6 back to front. -J |

I want to thank you so much. In all of my research I thought it was clockwise but then some guys in posts saying counterclockwise. So i figured i had better ask about my specific model. You answered all of my questions because i knew I was going to have to ask the followup question of the order of the wires on the plugs themselves. But you answered that. I'm not 100% sure but I think the 78-83 SC has a CCW distributor. -J
