Brake Pads (Type and best price)
My front and rear brake pads need to be replaced. What kind does everyone use or prefer?
The car is mostly street driven (has autocrossed and DE).

I bought OEM pads, had them on for a month and a half and went back to Mintex. Mintex = no brake dust.
Stopping is the same with a slight edge to Mintex (but I can stop on a dime with either). I've tried OEM and Mintex only. Between the two, Mintex. Inasfaras the others, someone else will have to speak up.

I'm a Pagid Orange fan myself, but I'm a little strange in other areas as well.

Porterfield R4 or R4S and Pagid Orange are my choice. Both stop very well but dusty which I don't mind. Porterfield is almost half the price of Pagid.

Mintex were what i was leaning to, but Tweeks carries a few versions and all are like $200 for all four wheels. IS this high?

Pagid Oranges are $200 per axle - $400 for all 4 wheels.

I just moved from stock material to Hawk HP plus (good combo street/track compound) to avoid changing pads for track. So far, great on the street and will have first track test end of August. Cost was about $120 for full set f/r.
