911 VIN Look-up

Anyone know of a site where you can look-up your VIN for options, specs, etc. I tried the P-car.com but it's 993 specific. I tried to call the 1-800-porsche number, but their info ends around mid '80s. Thanks,

I can't find anything on the net either...

Anybody able to give a website for getting optons info. for mid '70's P-cars?

I suggest you get "The Red Book" or Peter Morgans "Original Porsche 911" They both lists VIN numers. PM's book also lists engin numbers. The Red Book has better listing of all the option numbers, but PM's book has more text on each model.

Bruce Anderson's "Porsche 911 Performance Handbook" also has Vin number information along with engine specs.

Where can the options list information be looked up if you only have the Vin #?

I don't have any options codes to decode...is there a way to get the list?

I checked the Porsche Handbook and it does not list the specific options by Vin number. I think what you are looking for is the kardex from Porsche. The links below should help you answer some of the questions.

The 356 and 912 sites don't have any 911 info. Is there a site that you know of for getting options list info. for a 911 with just the vin #?
