Noobie Question: AC Condenser Fused Harness

I bought my 1984 Targa last December. Since the weather turned warm, I've taken it out of storage and started working on it over the weekends. After reading all of the the archived threads over the Winter, I decided to start with electrical upgrades. I've replaced all the fuses and replaced the AC relay with a fused relay. I've also replaced the headlamp stalk and installed the JWest headlamp relay.

I've removed old condenser blower assembly and, after stripping the hex nut on the squirrel cage fan, have ordered and received a new assembly that I will install over the weekend. I have the fused harness 911.612.077.00 that has been recommended in other threads. That fused harness is about 6 to 8 inches long with a connector at each end.

My question is where does the fused harness go? After removing the blower assembly, I tried to trace back the wiring from the end connector, but there does not seem to be another connector at the opposite end. This leads me to believe that the fused harness is simply installed between the blower assembly pigtail and the opposite connector. Is this correct?

Thank you

Yes. At least that's exactly what I did on my 86. -J

Steve,
You splice in the fuse into the red wire that is in the wire harness
going to the blower motor.
