Sail window lower seal - anyone know how it's attached?
In the pic below, my car is missing a small rubber seal that goes between the bottom of the sail window frame and the sill trim that attaches to the door. This makes a roaring / wind noise on the highway that's a bit annoying.
At first I thought it was the wipers or side mirror until I spotted a very narrow gap that's not on the other side. Dang. I bought part 901-531-933-20-M136 from our host. It's just a short thin rubber piece. I'm assuming I have to pull the window frame out to install it, but does anyone know how it attaches? Glue? http://c767170.r70.cf2.rackcdn.com/G90154292121.jpg |
if its the piece i'm thinking of, it slides into the long trim piece that fits horizontally along the entire window edge. Its held on by 5-6 clips that push into place. once you get that piece off, then use soapy water and slide it onto the rail. 15 minute job.

Thank you! I couldn't find a mention of it in the Bentley. Saved me from pulling the window frame.

Just an update in case anyone else searches:
http://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-kX...524_105554.jpg I went in into the garage ready to do battle today. Looked how the other one was in. I just slid the piece in from the front. It took me loger to type this post than it did to install this piece. |
