Engine Harness

Inside the engine compartment on the driver side fire wall there is a huge square plug that houses a multitude of wires with pins. I believe Bentley refers to this as the electrical engine harness.

My harness acidently separated ans I need to place all of the prongs and wires in their proper place. I looked all over Bentley for the wore organization and could not find it. Can someone please post a link or thread with this info.

Thanks so much.

Click on user CP and add it to your name that is displayed.

Post a picture of what you are dealing with and someone will be able to help.
I only have early year to '82 harnesses on hand to compare it with.
The factory service manual print may denote the pin designation of the 14 pin connector.
I'm getting one of those next week, it's actually in the mail to me now.

Timmy:

Duh, I have the factory service manual and never thought to look in there. I only combed thru the Bentley. Let me check the manual. Also, since you told me the correct name of the 14 pin connector,I can do a better search on this forum.

P.S. I am going to do my display name as you suggested

Thanks

Wiring 97 has a picture of the 14 pin connector to the left of the box numbered 45. Shows the color of the wire and the pin number.
I have a picture of the schematic, but it is too fuzzy.
Good luck.

Timothy---thanks for hanging in there with me from the start of my inquiry and putting me on the right track. I am good now!

Dennis,
I made it up when I put a 3.2 in my car. I've only done it for a 73cis and 86.

I'd like to see the '73 CiS though.
Now I have the '86

Ed,

The colored 14-pin connector you made is also applicable up '88 and probably with '89 too. The 14-pin connector for '88 based from the factory wiring diagram is same as your '86. So after further review, we could safely declare that your diagram of the 14-pin connector applies to '86-'88 and more.
