My dads '83 911sc has been sitting for a little over 11 years with occasional start ups now and then, ive decided to jump into this "project" but i will be needing alot of help
from my observations all the fluids will need to be changed (will need help choosing the right fluids!) the fuel tank and fuel lines will need to be cleaned of old gas/rust ![]() links, input, pictures and whatever will help i want to try and get this running good by the summer (if possible) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looks like a solid starting point, assuming salty winters haven't wreaked any havoc. If you look at the top of the page, you'll see a tab "Tech Info Center" most of your basic questions will find answers in there. The nice thing about the SC's is they're pretty mechanical - not a whole lot of electrical voodoo at work. Vacuum leaks may be your biggest issue as you get it running again. If you're concerned about rust, definitely clean the fuel system and lines before doing much more - you don't want to clog up the works with rust. Straightening that driver's side foglight will let the car know you love it... Something strange is going on with that 4" ducting on the left side of the engine bay... |
