'69 "s" distributer cam assembly rehab
Has anyone had success in removing and replacing the pins that actuate the advance weights in a Bosch distributor's cam assembly? Mine are grooved from age and I'd like to remove them and reinstall them 180° so they can regulate the spark advance another 44 years in my '69.
If anyone has a replacement distributer cam assembly that's like new I'd be interested in buying it. Distributer is Bosch #0 231-159-007 Cam pin plate # 190 ![]() Are the springs in the '69 similar to these recently available from Stoddard? ![]() |

I would contact Glenn, he may be able to help. I've dealt with him and he has helped me out.

One option would be to build up the wear area with weld/braze material. Use the usual fab. tools to contour to shape.
