Which coupler shifter combo?

Looking to upgrade my shifter coupler as finding gears is a bit of a pain.

Which combination works best?

Wevo or Stromski coupler?

Wevo or rennshift shifter?

What are your running?

I have the coupler whisper upgrade and Wevo Shifter on the shelf. The secret shifter looks good. Also from Ed.
If my factory shifter didn't already have a weltmeister upgrade I'd probably forgo the WEVO and tryout Ed's solution.

Any of them work great, coupler wise you can go the coupler whisper route. Don't forget the bushings in the tunnel.

I like Wevo products, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the products you listed.

I have a Stomski coupler and the Rennshifter on my 73 915 setup. Best shifting 915. I've ever used.

Try out Ivangene's (the coupler whisperer) coupler first, then go from there. As for shifters, I'm lookin to get the Wevo when I have money burning a hole in my pocket.

I have a factory short shift kit, all new bushings etc at the shifter, a 3" extension on the shift rod and Ed's coupler. Besides the ease of shifting and the going into the right gear up and down, my shifter now falls into my hand coming off the 380mm OMP wheel. To say I am happy with the mods is an understatement. No more searching or being unsure of what gear I will get and the ability to go into first on a roll is way cool !

I bought the couplers' bushing of Pelican and replaced em, and switched to synthetic and I saw some improvement.

When I drive easy I don't have many problem, although second gear is the most troublesome, but when I rev up or try to drive hard and have some fun its get more difficult and can get some gear clashing, so I basically have to wait before I shift and it feels like forever.

Wish someone could drive my car and give me a bit of advice, Ive had my 84 911 since 06 and its the only one I've driven so I have no point of comparison

Seine Systems' gate shift kit does what Rennshifter and Wevo shift lever kits do at much lower cost. Combine it with a decent coupler, adjust it correctly and enjoy.

+1, that's my set up too. Easy to install the gate shift, new bushings on the stock coupler, new bushings in the tunnerl and presto. Very smooth and easy to align. Can't wait for the snow to disappear to really give it a run.

Love my Seine with Ed's coupler on my 915. And the setup is very reasonably priced.

Siene is a great system

My new one offers a stronger spring and no mods to the console or other parts....

I started by making my own like seine but found it a little light on centering and a little heavy on consome trimming...hense my serch for something different....and now I am very happy

Can you buy the bushings in a kit or individually, would you guys say the Seine Systems are almost the same quality?
I hate all these decisions, there are just soooo many options... Shifter s & Couplers, Ed's kit..
Wevo, Rennshift so many options, however this has been the first i've heard of the Seine...

no discussion here ...Ed's kit ... I am going to be getting the secret shifter soon .. It uses quite a few factory parts from what I read ...

Plus .. Ed is a good guy .. I haven't meet personally, but thru here and the phone .. great guy ... also if you need help adjusting the shifter he is willing to help .. has great videos on line ...

also I am happy with the 2 I have done down here enough that if people need help w the adjusting side of it and with Ed's blessing I have fielded a few phone calls and actually had great luck being on the phone and talking a few other pelicans thru the process ..

shift coupler the best quickest mod to my car .... by far ...

Steve ..........

By any wild chance, are there similar gates and shifter kits for the G50? I'm tired of such imprecise shifting mechanism despite a coupler/linkage rebuild and tightening up.
