More annoying squeaks

I have just redone my front suspension new a arm and torsion bar bushings, new shock inserts, ball joints and had alignment and ride height done. The car rides and handles so much better however when I go over a bump or hole I am getting a squeaking noise which I am guessing is coming from the torsion bar bushings forgot to mention all bushings standard OEM. Any ideas how to get rid of the squeaking?

you used polyurethane bushings, didn't you

bump for this question....I have been having a similar problem. OEM bushings, but have developed alot of squeaking within the last month

if you have rubber bushings they have likely cold flowed and are allowing the metal to hit & squeek

Rwebb as I said standard bushings (rubber) and no they have not cold flowed I checked them all again. This is a distinctly rubbery squeaking noise.

I have a 82sc and a 85 carrera and I have worked on many 911 p cars. This may not be your problem but on almost all these cars (short hood) I notice a squeak from up front over bumps after many attempts to locate the noise I found that the squeak was from the front hood. The way to test this is, drive slowly over bumps and pull the hood latch and when the hood pops up the squeak disappears. To eliminate this I replaced the seal and adjusted the latch and rubber stops. May not be your issue but can't hurt to try.

I had a squeak develop after lowering my car. I didn't change any bushings, just lowered it. It turned out to be the sway bar bushings (the ones mounted to the body, not the A-arms). I took them off, cleaned, added a small bit of grease, haven't heard a squeak in 4 years. Worth a shot.

kodioneill that's definitely not the issue never heard a squeak before refreshing suspension

new rubber bushings & it sqeeks?

get under there and look around carefully to see if any new metal is showing or any other things that look odd

you may need to tape a microphone in various places while driving to locate the sqeeks
