911 T and or 911 T/E

Question?? There's a 73 Targa for sale in the "cars for sale" forum. The owner is calling it a 911 T/E. I've never heard of a "T/E". Also the word "rare" was used a few times. I didn't find a "T/E" reference in my Redbook. Am I missing something?

It's a standard MFI T. I've never heard them referred to as T/E. I suppose the "E" stands for "einspritzer" in this case, which means that it's got a fuel injected engine.
'73 T cars could be a T/V which was an ROW carbureted version, a standard MFI car, or a 73.5 T which had CIS in place of the MFI.

I'd make sure he's got most of the original MFI parts if you're considering putting the car back to original. Those parts are $$$.

I just noticed that you've already got an MFI T, so all the above is probably known to you.

Well, yes, I do already know most of that but I had never heard of a "T/E". Thanks though

I've seen three versions of the 911T listed in parts manuals as:

T-V. Vergaser. (carburetor)
T-E. Einspritzer. (fuel injection/MFI)
T-K. Kontinuierlich. (continuous/CIS)

My 1972T has an E engine, so maybe it's a T/E?
