Mitigating leather disaster
The driver's lower bolster on my sport seats had a small hole when I bought the car. It's growing ever larger. There's no reupholstery in the budget any time soon.
I know someone has dealt with this before What did you do to hold it together? I'm imagining attaching a leather patch quite a bit larger than the affected area, directly to the surviving leather with 3M upholstery glue. Is this the best route to go? Thanks, ![]() ![]()

Gaffer tape. You can probably get it in tan. It's not as expensive to fix that as you may think.

Seat covers...
I'd suggest a cheap and easy route until you save up the coin for upholstery.
Another idea is to try to source a decent set of used seats. It would be easy if your interior was black - they pop up quite often. In that color it may take a while to find a set, or you could with black seats for a while until you have the money to restore the original seats. |

Have you tried a local upholstery shop? You might be surprised how cheap they work, especially if you tear the seat apart and remove the cover.

To stop it from getting worse from entry and exit swap the drivers and passenger seat backs. Worked for me and only took 1/2 hour or so.
