69 911 Coupe interior help needed. Need your pic
Ok.. I searched forum first, I looked in my 3 manuals, including purple factory manual. This detail is not common.
I had my 911 painted and am now replacing the interior. I am wrapping the doorjamb with vinyl and installing the rear vinyl-covered side panels. My question is how to finish up where these two meet. Since I didnt remove this part, I only have the old viny pieces and glue lines to go on. It appears that the original side panel pointy end buts up against the door jamb and something glues over the edge about 1 inch. But the vinyl strip that went there does not appear to have been the thing glued over it.. ? see pic.. Can you send me pictures of how this is finished in your early coupe?

On my '74 the side panel fits in behind the trim on the doorjamb. It has to be slid down vertically to get it in there.

More exactly, the shoulder belt wind-up reel is in there, and the strap goes vertically to a fitting attached to the anchor bolt above. Not such new-fangled stuff on a '69, I guess.
