Ball Joint Difference ?

I need to change the ball joints.
The car is a 71 but the PO changed some parts of the carīs suspension, for instance it has aluminum trailing arms, aluminum crossmember. I do not know if the front suspension is from a 71 or a newer car.
I need to know how can I tell which ball joints do I need.
There are 69-71 ball joints and 72-89 ball joints.

The early struts used a pinch bolt type connection to the ball joint, later type used the wedge pin.
You have to look at the base of the strut where it connects to the ball joint to see which one is on the car. If you look at the suspension page Porsche 911 Suspension - Page 5 if you have the bolt 900-075-111-08-OEM it needs the early type ball joint.
If you have the pin 911-341-119-06-M260 then the later type. The early type was generaly considered a poor design, and the later type is much safer, but struts would need to be changed.

Thanks for your answer. I think I have the later ones.
