MFI pump follower lever adjustment

The follower lever in the MFI pump regulator housing features an excenter for adjustment. Looking through all (to me) available bosch documentation and the Michael Burgess book I cannot seem to find the procedure for measuring and adjustment. Is there something missing in my library or is there some way to properly measure/adjust?

Peter, The adjustment/measurement of the eccentric should be 64.2mm (+-.15). Before the measurement is made, make sure the roller lever is straight and parallel to the bell crank lever pin guide. This is measured from the center bore of the roller lever pivot shaft to the center of the bell crank guide pin for the swivel lever. Altering the adjustment will change the main rack movement ratio somewhat. I have never had to make an adjustment of this, but I have had a few bent roller levers that needed straightening.

Mark,

Thanks for the quick reply. That was the part I did not understand. I read the manual as the bell crank should be parallel to the lever at which point 64.1 +/- .10 should be achieved by bending the bell crank and no mention was made about the excentric. I'll proceed with making sure the lever is parallel and then do the fine adjustment with the excentric.
