911 SC Updated headlight switch

Hello,

my headlight switch started burning last week.

so I ordered a new switch and went thru this topic:

'80 911 SC Headlamp switch wiring question, OE part update with different/additional

Is it ok to just grind down terminal #58 instead of extending #30 and capping of #58?

Installed the switch this weekend,

no need to extend or cap off or even grind down.

don't know what the TS's problem was, there's enough place.

This may help: Help with headlamp switch wiring please!

Also a good time to protect those circuits prone to fires with a fuse on the dash lights circuit and a headlight relay kit:
Fire under dash!
