SMOG trouble!
Well my 1975 911 S w/ 2.7 failed smog.
Here's what the readings were: HC loaded 696/standard to pass 250. HC idle 1112/standard to pass 250. CO loaded 0.64/standard to pass 1.50. CO idle 0.42/standard to pass 2.50. HC's obviously caused the failure. Only new additions since passing last smog have been new cap, rotor and smog pump filter. Any ideas where I should start? |

I'm no smog expert but my 4-cylinder motorcycle posted similar numbers when it was running on 3 cylinders (fouled plug). That's basically spewing raw gas out the tailpipe.
