Northern NJ/Metro New York wrenches?

I'm looking for a reliable/affordable wrench in the northern NJ area and was wondering if people had any strong feelings (positive or negative) about:

Performance Plus in Oakland NJ
Deman Motorsport in Nyack NY

I've heard good things about both but thought I'd ask here and get some other opinions... I had my last minor service done at a local dealer - nice people there but damn expensive. Plus I got the feeling that they don't deal with older p-cars all that often (mostly 996s and a few 993s in the shop). So I thought maybe one of the 2 above options might fit my needs/wallet a bit better... Thanks in advance.

Rick Deman is highly regarded and an extremely knowledgeable Porsche tech and racer as well. I have heard one negative comment (on this BB) about him, from somebody who used him and thought highly of him yet said that particularly during racing season, he overpromises things and gets behind on his work.

But if you can afford the time, he's well thought of in this area.

Rick is still one of the best wrenches out there. He has an intimate knowledge of the early cars (MFI) and is great with the newer ones as well.

As with any mechanic, you will hear of good and bad experiences, so my suggestion is to go to their respective shops and ask question... look around and see which one suits your needs and go with it.

Have you considerd PAR Porsche in New Rochelle? They've serviced both of my Porsches (regular maintenance & upgrades; have spent close to $150,000 with them between cars & service). I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone:
