after installing new door stay- it clicks at both positions. is this normal? the door stay works great otherwise

Pull out the speaker and look to see if anything is hitting inside the door while your opening it

I took some metal off of the 2 humps to smooth out the new stay -

Its also easy to put the stays in backwards, I believe they should curve inward. A search will confirm.
