question, BG44k vs B12

I have smog check coming up and heard all the bad changes on new CA smog regulation, so I am thinking of running cleaner stuff through a tank of gas, beside valves adjust and oil change.

I never like any kind additive in any of my car, except one of the cheap restorations (Datsun 240z used engine was cheap), but reading here, many people have good experience from B12, and better with BG44k.

On the GB44k, while many experienced how good the BG44k clean up the fuel system, many also experience break down. I understand the BG44k does good job, but sometimes "too good" on aged parts. Meaning, it can break aged part that is not broken yet.

I am posting this question to see how many have used B12 or BG44k and coincidently had bad experience after that. Please indicate if it was B12 or BG44k, and please give me some detail of the incident.

Thanks very much.

Never used B12 but I swear by BG44k. In my experience it is the best fuel system cleaner by a long shot.
