Silly question about option sticker

It may be a bit long to tell why, but I would like to know where the option sticker was added to the warranty manual of a say, 1987 model : Factory in Germany or dealership ????

I mean, who exactly glued the sticker in the manual.. ???

Cheers !

Good question, as to "who"? I've presumed that to have been done in Germany...but don't know for sure.

What's up Nico?

Best!

Ok, here's why I'm asking this irrelevant question... :

Yesterday, I went to see a 930 with a factory slant nose, according to the seller. But when I got there, with my dad, we almost instantly question the authenticity of that priceless option. Yes, the car did look amazing (I mean, really, it was jaw dropping) but one of the thing that bugged us is the fact that there was no option sticker in the service manual, but a second sticker was in the front bonnet, holding with cheap scotch tape...

Later on, I said to myself, maybe the sticker that goes on the service manual is not put there by a worker in Germany at the Porsche factory but while the car was being prepared for delivery to the customer, at the dealership. If so, it's not impossible that this operation was forgotten, so the customer got to have it with his books and papers and later on, put in the front bonnet...

Let me know... !

Did the stickers match each other? Is it possible that the service manual was replaced or "switched out?" As in not original to the car? That is odd, and I'd be suspect.

I didn't check carefully enough, but I will if I go see the car again.

And yes, it's possible that the book have been replaced or switched but I did notice that the delivery date was ok (built 06-1987, delivered 10-1987)...

My car doesn't have either option sticker -- but it DOES have the original VIN stickers on the hood and all the panels -- indicating they are original to the car.

I assume that if the slant nose were original, the hood would have the VIN sticker on it that would match the doors and rear decklid.

On my car, the hood VIN sticker is located on the rear of the panel, close to the hinges.
