unattached hose near fuel accumulator?

Pelicanites -

Curious if any of you know what this hose is? I've had a hot start issue and decided after 244,000 miles it might make sense just to replace the fuel accumulator and the fuel check valve. I found a good used accumulator and I have a check valve and filter on the way from Pelican.

As I went in today to remove the old parts, I found this unattached hose. Any idea what this is or what it's supposed to link to?

I couldn't see any connector to hook it up to, so I'm not sure where it goes or what its for. Any help is appreciated.

That looks like one of the hoses that are part of the fuel vapor/charcoal canister system . . .

Looks like the brake booster hose to me. The vapor canister line should be much smaller. The cruise control hoses don't follow the fuel lines down under the car.

There should be another hunk of hose that connects that line to the left side of the airbox down low between the intake runners.

That's my guess anyway...

Hmm. Ill take a look tmrw. Maybe it connects to the air box or a hose leading to the air box, but I didn't see anything else in there that would suggest as much. It's def not a cruise control hose since I don't have cc.

Thanks for the guesses.

On a '79 CIS, this is the other part of the brake booster hose. The connector on the end of it looks like the on the hose you are pointing to. The connector is just a male-male barbed plastic piece. There is a brass barb that goes into the airbox that this hose is hooked up to.

Good luck!
