Bent Decklid Hinge?
So last night I set about installing some new heavy duty rear decklid shocks. I'd done the front hood no problem other than discovering that the PO used a nut+bolt on the drivers side instead of the pin, which is getting replaced ASAP.
After dropping a plastic washer behind the firewall (and fortunately having a replacement), I got with the dentalfloss/fishingline and managed to not lose anything else. In closing things up, the drivers side gap is much larger and is a lot closer on the other side... I futzed around with the bolts on the decklid itself that held it onto the hinges with no real luck in getting it trued. I searched through the forums and couldn't find any particular suggestions about this. Did I bend something or is there an adjustment that I can make in the engine compartment? My read of the parts diagram says no, but I'm still learning... Suggestions?

I'm reviving this unanswered question because I am having a terrible time fitting a fiberglass ducktail. Granted, the lid is used, but one bolt seems so far off that I am wondering if something is bent or majorly out of wack with this car. - Matt

There are up and down adjustments with shims and washers, and right/left forward/back. You have to loosen the allen bolts and move the decklid around. The latch should be off center, and the rubber bumpers are used to line up the shutline at the reflector/ turn signals.
